Obituary
Jacob (Jake) Alcon, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023. Jake was born May 5, 1935, in Ojo Feliz, NM, preceded in life by his parents, Macedonio and Beatrice Alcon and his love of his life, Petrita (wife). Surviving and supporting Jake were his only son, Kelly and wife, Julie; and his beloved grandsons, Philip and Jacob.
He was the ninth child of a family of ten siblings. He was an alumus of Menaul High School and Highlands University. After schooling, he served four years in the US Navy. After his service, he moved into business eventually establishing Alcon's Harley-Davidson. After retirement, he became a real estate investor. His interests were golfing, hunting, and watching many different sporting events.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in passing by brothers, Levi, Alfonso and wife, Nora, Bernabe, and Lupe; and sisters, Dorothy and husband, Tony, Laura and husband, Levi Cruz, and Senaida and husband, Epifanio Vigil. Surviving family are sisters-in-law, Alice Alcon and Eloisa Alcon; brother, Eluid and wife, Prebble Alcon; sister, Joycelyn and husband, Ruben Gonzalez; and an extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, 10:00 a.m., at Shrine of the Little Flower-St. Therese of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church, 3424 4th St. NW, Albuquerque, NM, 87107. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
