Ex-Beatle legend Ringo Starr will be stopping in New Mexico as part of a new fall tour for 2023, announced recently. Starr and his All Starr Band will perform at the Rio Rancho Events Center on Sept. 20.

Tickets are on sale from $59 to more than $700.

This year’s tour will feature a lineup that includes Steve Lukather, Colin Hay, Edgar Winter, Warren Ham, Hamish Stuart and Gregg Bissonette.

In a recent interview with Pollstar, according to KRQE, Starr talked about what he gets from performing. “Well, I love to play, I love an audience,” Starr said. “This is a known fact. I love the audience. They love me. We have fun on tour. That’s what it’s all about. I don’t do this to be miserable. I have a lot of joy, I get a lot of joy and I just love doing it.”

The tour begins in Ontario, CA on September 17 before heading to Tucson, AZ on Sept. 19 and then Rio Rancho. Other stops include Kansas City, MO (Sept. 22), St. Louis (Sept. 23), Nashville (Sept. 24), Clearwater, FL (Sept. 26), Atlanta (Sept. 27), Indianapolis (Sept. 29) and Milwaukee (Sept. 30). October features nine stops starting in Minneapolis (Oct. 1) and ending in Thackerville, OK (Oct. 13).

Starr, a nine-time Grammy winner and two-time inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, is coming off a busy 2022 that included spring and fall tours. Starr also released EP3 in September and in November, EP3 was released on a 10-inch vinyl and blue cassette along with a music video, “Everyone and Everything.”

In addition, Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band Live at the Greek 2019 was released on Blu-Ray, DVD, CD and on a special yellow double vinyl on November 25, 2022.  Also, Starr, according to promoters, created 500 life-sized “Peace and Love” sculptures of his iconic hand symbol. These, per his website, were sold exclusively through Julien’s Auctions to benefit the Lotus Foundation.

Between 1970 and 2015 Ringo released 18 solo studio records. He has acted in over 15 films, received an Academy Award, and was nominated as an actor for an Emmy.
