It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our kind, faithful and caring mother, 

grandmother and great grandmother, Frances Angelina Romero age 93. Daughter of Eduvigen and Maria

A. Gurule. She was true to her faith and a powerful prayer warrior who prayed for her children, 

grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Frances departed this earth peacefully into the loving arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on Easter 

Sunday April 9th, 2023 at her home in Corrales, NM surrounded by family.

She was born October 4, 1929. She was a long time resident of Cuba, NM where she was born and raised 

and married her husband Ernesto Romero. They had 7 children.

She is preceded in death by her parents Eduvigen and Maria A. Gurule, husband Ernesto Romero, 

brothers Cristobal, Sefredo, and Eugenio Gurule, son-in-laws Davis Molina and Luis Cde Baca. She is 

survived by her children: Josie (Toby) Griego, Adolfo (Eloyda) Romero, Donna (Filimon) Apodoca, 

Barbara Cde Baca, Rosie Romero, Patrick Romero, Judy (Ron Jay) Sorrow, Evelyn Moody, Tommie 

Montoya-Stone, her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, sisters 

Pauline Jacquez and Sylvia-Novie Trujillo. The family is forever grateful to Stella Benavides and 

Jocelyn Romanrivera for the loving care provided in the final months of her life.
