Obituary

Adele Morelli Davis, an Albuquerque native, sustained by family, community, and faith, passed away in the early hours of Thursday, February 23, 2023, at the age of 100. She will be remembered for her insatiable curiosity, love of bridge, and her passion for gardening.

Mostly, Adele adored her five children, 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, and delighted in all their lives. Giving beyond herself was how she lived, whether supporting Casa Angelica, her church, or practicing sustainability as a native New Mexican. It was in her daily interactions with loved ones where her spirit of generosity was on full display. Her love of adventure propelled her to "seize the moment" in whatever she encountered.

She was preceded in death by her husband, LT Col Robert 'Bob' Davis; her son, Robert E. Davis; granddaughter, Tessa E. Robinson; parents, Teodolindo and Carolina Morelli; and brother, Theodore Morelli. She is survived by her children, John Henry Davis, Caroline Davis-Robinson, Adele Kelsey, Monique Davis and Christina Davis. Survived also by grandchildren, Jonathan Davis, Daniele (Davis) Donatelli, Jessica (Davis) Studeny, Alexis (Robinson) Dailey, Matthew Robinson, Timothy Robinson, Michael Robinson, Collyn (Kelsey) Griego, Sydney Lange, Davis Lange, Luc Gordon; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A Rosary will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, 6:00 p.m., at FRENCH-Lomas. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 2621 Vermont St NE. Burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, followed by a reception at El Patron, 10551 Montgomery Blvd NE.
