Obituary

David (Dave) Fiedler, age 73, beloved father, son, spouse, grandfather, and brother, was called to his eternal resting place on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. He entered this world on October 6, 1949, in Chicago, IL, born to Patrick and Alice Fiedler. He was preceded in death by his parents, spouse Kathy Fiedler, and stepson, Kevin Torres. He is survived by his son, Mark Fiedler; daughter, Melissa Cureton and husband Mark; stepson Brian Aragon and wife Glenda; grandsons, Brian Aragon, Jr., Alec Aragon, Mateo Aragon, Owen Cureton, and Gavin Cureton; granddaughter, Shania Concha Ortiz; brother James Fiedler; sisters, Marie Fiedler and Laura Bresnahan; sister-in-law, Sandra Fiedler; brother-in-law, Michael Bresnahan.

Dave first moved to Albuquerque, NM, to attend the University of New Mexico, where he earned his bachelor's in business. Dave later met his wife, Kathy, who often referred to Dave as her, "Honeybun." Dave went back to college and obtained his master's in business. Dave had a successful career as an accountant in the medical field.

Dave enjoyed socializing with friends and family; and taking his fur baby, Cinnamon, on walks. All the neighbors refer to him as, "the neighbor who was always walking his dog." David was a skilled skier and loved hitting the slopes with his grandsons. He enjoyed spending time watching and attending sporting events. Dave was a generous donor to many charitable organizations to include St. Jude, Humane Society, American Red Cross and Special Olympics.

A Rosary will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass at 10:15 a.m., St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd NW - Albuquerque, NM 87114.
