Brittany Puckett, chapter leader of For Goodness Cakes, said that the organization makes and hand-delivers birthday and graduation cakes to children in foster care and youth overcoming adversity on their special day.

“It’s really easy to give back, and this is a great way to let the kids in the community know that you’re worried about them," Puckett told KRQE News. "You want to do something for them. So, this is a really quick and easy way to give back to the kids that need it."

A pop-up market Saturday was a popular stop for community members in Albuquerque. The Salt Yard was the place for the Fall into Giving event, which had live music and more than 30 vendors. For Goodness Cakes in Albuquerque will be the recipient of all the proceeds from the event.

Puckett said proceeds from Saturday help them continue their work.
