Obituary
Rudy Gutierrez Jr., age 70, beloved Father, was called to his eternal resting place on Monday, August 8, 2022. He entered this world on October 4, 1951, in Albuquerque, NM. Rudy graduated from Cuba High School in Cuba, NM in 1970, married the love of his life Annie in 1974, and he worked for the US Forest Service for 34 years. He was a cattle rancher and enjoyed the outdoors. He was a die-hard Bronco fan, and he loved his children and grandchildren very much.
Rudy was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph, and Lena Gutierrez; his sister, Rosie Velarde; and his brothers, Billy, and Sam Gutierrez.
Rudy is survived by his spouse of 48 years, Annie Gutierrez; daughter, Rose Dominguez, husband Darryl and their children, Eric, and Izzie; son, Daniel Gutierrez; daughter, Ramona Gutierrez-Aguilar, husband Griffin and their future son; his two sisters, Gloria Dominguez (Manny) and Judy Casaus (Ben); and numerous nieces and nephews who loving called him Uncle Ted, and numerous friends. He was well loved and will be deeply missed.
A Rosary will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass at 10:15 a.m., St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd NW, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87114. Rudy will be laid to rest on Saturday, August 20, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., at the Santo Nino Catholic Church Cemetery in La Jara, New Mexico. In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorial contributions to the New Mexico Forest Re-Leaf Program.
