Obituary
Concha Nevarez Mendoza was born February 18, 1929 and passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022 in the town of Tracy, California. She was 93 years old. Born in the city of Nonoava in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico to Jose De La Luz Nevarez and Maria Concepcion Olivas.
Concha had ten children (which included three sets of twins) Henry Nevarez (deceased) Eloisa Torres (deceased), Rosalie Saenz, Larry Nevarez (deceased), Hubert Nevarez, Aurora Fierro, Laura McMillen, Sulema Armenta, Ralph Fierro, and Julian Fierro. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly and always made them feel they were important.
Concha was a single mother and worked hard to provide for her children. She often drove her children on vacation once a year in her Buick station wagon from California to New Mexico. It was always an adventure which we will cherish. She had a wonderful sense of humor with the lovely ability to make people laugh and feel comfortable around her.
Concha was a proud member of La Sociedad Guadalupana Organization for many years and gave back to her community through charity work.
A Viewing and Rosary will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, 6:00 p.m., at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1818 Coal Pl. SE. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, 10:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Fairview Memorial Park, 700 Yale Blvd., SE.
