Obituary
Jodene Chavez, 41, beloved Mother, Daughter, Grandaughter, Sister, and Niece was called to her eternal resting place on July 17, 2022. She entered into this world on December 30, 1980, in Albuquerque, NM. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Judy and Abel Bazan; father David Chavez; son Jacob Teupell; daughter Victoria Teupell; sisters April and Brittany Chavez.
Jodene is preceded in death by her Aunt Beverly Miller, Grandparents Louie and Jessie Salazar, and Grandfather Conrad Chavez. She is survived by her Great Grandmother Delfida Corrales, Grandmothers Hazel Chavez and Deborah Chavez. Jodene was loved by many, including aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers-in- law, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jodene enjoyed cooking in her free time. She always found new recipes that she loved to make for her family. She loved her dogs Larry, Charlie, and Kona. They all had a special place in her heart. She enjoyed music, singing and dancing. Jodene loved being outdoors, whether it was going for a drive to the mountains or traveling far away.
Jodene will be honored for her loving personality and was always welcoming to everyone. She was a fun, loving person and she loved her family and friends dearly.
A Rosary will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022, at 10:30 A.M., immediately followed by Mass at Santuario de San Martin de Porres Catholic Church (8301 Camino San Martin SW, Abq, NM 87121) . Burial will be held at Mount Calvary Cemetery (1900 Edith Blvd NE, Abq, NM 87102). A reception will follow at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church (5712 Paradise Blvd NW, Abq, NM 87114).
