Obituary
Nancy M. Sanchez, age 92, our strong, brave, and beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away July 20, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Corrales, New Mexico, she graduated from Albuquerque High School and worked for Sandia Labs for 35 years. She was an excellent and avid bridge player, was known for her delicious tortillas, and loved spending time with family and friends at the family cabin at Bluewater Lake. Being around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her tremendous joy.
Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband Fred A. Sanchez Jr. and her siblings Gilbert Martinez and Cora Chavez. She is survived by her daughters Margie Zollan (John), Barb Wylie (Ken), and Arlene Salazar (Chuck), 9 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Our Lady of the Annunciation at 10:00 a.m. The family would like to thank Leslie Dork, CNP, and all the staff at North Albuquerque Dialysis Center for wonderful care over the last 14 years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Casa Angelica or your favorite charity.
