Carol Jane "CJ" Seidlitz, age 62, of Placitas, NM passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, July 8th, 2022, following a battle with early-onset dementia. CJ was born in Palmer, AK on December 21st, 1959, to Charlotte and Lee Allen. She received a degree in communications from the University of Idaho and a law degree from the University of California, Davis.
CJ married Aden Seidlitz on June 16th, 1990, and welcomed her stepsons, Jeremy, and Joshua Bullock. Together they had two children, Andrew, and Carlea. CJ worked as an attorney for six years until she decided to stay home to homeschool and be with her kids. CJ served as the Executive Director of the Alliance for Youth when she and Aden lived in Great Falls, Montana, and she started a speech and debate club for homeschooled youth in Boise, Idaho, which she coached for five years. C.J. was a faithful follower of Jesus and volunteered her time serving the family's churches while living in Alaska, Montana, Utah, Idaho, and New Mexico.
CJ is survived by her husband, Aden; her children, Andrew (Anna), Carlea (Luciano); her stepson, Josh (Janice), two granddaughters; and her siblings, Albert Allen, and Bonnie Allen. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Charlotte Allen; her stepson, Jeremy; and her father-in-law, Ray Seidlitz.
A Celebration of CJ's life will be held Friday, July 15, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Anchor Point Church in Rio Rancho, NM.
