Surely, all of us feel like our heads are going to explode!

The last two months have produced more unbelievable “Rhetoric” and “Demagoguing “of the major issues that face this country in a long time.

Going to political meetings is like going to comedy central. The Republicans blame the Democrats and everyone else in the Republican party who disagrees with them. It is amazing to watch the back and forth on who is at fault. Amazingly enough, the Democrat meetings are the same.

Remember when we were all young kids and the family fight ensued with our brothers and sisters?  Of course, when the parents stepped in to stop the fight, it was never your fault.  That is when we always heard the immortal words “there is enough blame to go around”.

A recent article by Rob Natelson in the Epoch Times examined a point that most of us have not thought about. “How a Political Operative Thinks”. This is a lengthy article which simply makes the point that the right and wrong of the issue does not matter. What matters is how can the political operative use the issue to their own advantage.

This quote from the article says it all:

“As a successful grassroots activist in Montana during the 1990s, I became known for my direct and truthful way of speaking. I was doing what comes naturally. So, I was stunned when a Republican legislative leader asked me privately, “Rob, how do you work this honesty thing?”

To most of us, being honest is a way of life. To the political class, honesty is to be avoided at all costs. Perjury is way to go. To the major news outlets, the only news that is fit to report is the news that fits their masters’ narrative.

I always hate to write an article that just deals with the negative. There is a solution to every problem, although sometimes it seems carefully hidden.

Maybe the solution is hidden in these words: “Of course when the parents stepped into stop the fight …”.  As voters, we must act as good parents and hold our elected officials, who are acting as spoiled children, accountable. After all, there is enough blame to go around.

This November’s elections will determine a lot. That is an honest statement. That means getting involved in the political process in a very big way. There is only one way you are going to have laws enacted that reflect your political philosophy, “if you want to change the law, change the people making the laws.”

On the morning of Nov. 9, 2022, will you be honestly able to say, win or lose, I did everything I could to help the candidate of my choice to win?

Wouldn’t it be fantastic that on the morning after the election it was reported that 95% of eligible voters voted?
