Obituary

Virginia Montano Baca Rael, 86, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years Fred Rael, son Alfred "Buddy" Anthony Baca, father Jose Montano, mother Lucille Chavez, and sister Edna Montano.

Virginia is survived by her sons: Mike Baca (Gail), James Baca (Bonita Martinez); daughters: Mary Herrera, Lori Salazar; brothers: Joe Montano (Rosalie), Luciano Montano, Isidro Montano (Evelyn); sisters: Monica Gallegos, Annie Casas, 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, also many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Virginia sang in the choir for over 50 years at the San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church, she was a devout catholic. She was the owner of Sedillo Hill 66 Travel Center. She loved her family.

Virginia's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at 9:00 am at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church located at 2005 N Plaza St NW, 87104. Rosary will be recited at 9:30am. Mass will begin at 10:00am. Virginia will be laid to rest following the Mass at Mount Calvary Cemetery located at 1900 Edith Blvd NE, 87102.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Herrera, Christopher Baca, Santiago Baca, Alfred Baca, Corey Baca, and Kenny R. Salazar.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Gabriel Salazar, Derrick Baca, Joshua Salazar, Dominic Garcia, Joseph Salazar, and Angel Baca.
