Los Lunas residents claimed that developers did not finish the construction of their brand-new homes.

Some residents who recently bought new houses that were constructed by the same developers found numerous problems with them, according to KOB 4.

Parts of the houses were not completed when the homeowners moved in. The developers, the Hakes Brothers, promised that the minor issues would be fixed and the issues were a normal occurrence.

"We liked it, we liked the floor plan; there was still some work that needed to be done, of course, and they reassured us multiple times that it would be completed by close," homeowner Christine Christiansen said. "The complete HVAC system is kind of a mess. It's not to code, the duct work is not ran properly; the duct work isn't event attached to the furnace properly."

The developers promised the new residents that they would solve the problems with their houses. A spokesperson for the Hakes Brothers said they have been unable to hire new employees due to the ongoing labor shortage.

Other homeowners in the area complained of unpainted walls and "beaten up" doors in new houses from the developers, KOB 4 reported.
