Obituary
Brenda Gay (Stegall) Chavez, age 55, died on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Brenda is preceded in death by her son, Colten Chavez; and her brother, Bryan Stegall. She is survived by her husband, George Chavez; her son, Holden Chavez; and grandson, Aiden.
She was currently employed at Alice King Community School and was just completing her 25th year of teaching. During her career, Brenda taught in Tucumcari, Edgewood, Los Lunas, Bernalillo, and Albuquerque. Her joys of life were taking long walks with George, reading, comedies and musicals, Balloon Fiesta, and PBR Bull-riding events, and especially her sons. She loved to travel with family and left footprints in Europe, South and Central America, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii and the Fiji Islands. She was known for her kindness and touched a lot of people. She will truly be missed and will forever be in our hearts. Rest in Peace Brenda.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 27, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Netherwood Park Church of Christ, 5101 Indian School Road NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87110.
