Obituary
Jose Luis Chavez, 87, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, March 28, 2022.
Jose is survived by his son Johnny Chavez, daughter Diana Chavez, brothers: Floyd, Stanley, sisters: Sally, Albina, Flo, 3 grandchildren: Johnathan, Joseph, Melonie, 4 great-grandchildren: Celene, Aiden, Noalani, and Kai.
Jose grew up on a farm and used that knowledge to grow his garden, he was an excellent gardener. He enjoyed being outdoors and working in his garden with his own two hands. He shared his bounty with his family, friends, and neighbors. He may not have had much, but he always shared what he had with his loved ones.
Jose's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 5:00 pm at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St SW 87102. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Final Viewing will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 10:30 am at San Isidro Catholic Church located at 1010 Hwy 304 Las Nutrias, NM 87062 . Mass will begin at 11:00 am. Jose will be laid to rest following the Mass at San Isidro Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Henry Romero, Maritza Garcia, Uriel Orosco, Nestor Garcia, Christopher Torrez, and Tim Jaramillo.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Steve Garcia, Joseph Chavez, and Johnathan Chavez.
