Obituary

Bernadette "BB" Gonzales devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, December 24, 1944 - March 17, 2022. Born in Santa Fe, NM, she graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1963.

She lived in California for a short time and eventually settled in Albuquerque where she retired from General Electric Aircraft Engine Group. Bernadette was a beautiful and wonderful person to all who knew her. She spent many happy summer days with relatives and friends at the family cabin on Grass Mountain near the Pecos Wilderness.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Joseph Andrew Gonzales, Sr., two children Joseph A. Gonzales, Jr. and Andrea Wilson and husband Greg; three grandchildren, Alex and Marina Wilson, and Andrew Gonzales; sisters, Lucille Kleczka and husband Joe, Dolores Miller, and husband Don; brothers, Michael Bransford and wife Shawn, Philip Bransford and wife Doris, Arthur Bransford and wife Pearl, Ted Bransford and wife Jeanne, Ben Bransford, and wife Maxine, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex, and Paulita Bransford; her brothers, Billy Bransford, Louie Bransford, Jim Bransford, Ricky Bransford; and her sisters, Mary Ann Romero and Juanita Chavez.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., FRENCH - Westside with a reception to immediately follow.

Interment will be held on Thursday, April 28th, 2022, at 10:30 a.m., at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
