Obituary

Frederick Henry Vigil (Butch) transitioned into the arms of God, peacefully at his home with his devoted wife by his side on February 14, 2022, after a brief illness. He was born in Las Vegas, NM on January 2, 1954, to parents Henry and Lucy Vigil.

He is survived by his wife, Rochadie of the family home; stepsons, Ray Lucero (Ron) and Jason Wilson (Kris); siblings, Patricia Napoleane, Phillip (Sylvia), David (Minny), Carmen Guerin, Marilyn Valero, Dolores "Dodie" Martinez; his much-loved godson, Santiago Enrique Martinez, as well as several nieces and nephews and extended family. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lucy Vigil, as well as siblings Esther Dimas, Bobby Vigil and Lucille Branson.

Henry had a passion for life and loved and respected everyone he met. He had a love for travel with his wife to visit his stepsons (whom he treated as his own) where-ever they resided, spending time at the family ranch in Colonias, and helping others on house projects or really anything one needed.

He was one of kind! The world is a better place because of him.

A Rosary will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at 8:15 a.m. with a Funeral Mass immediately following, at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105.
