City of Santa Fe Veterans Advisory Board met Nov. 3.

Board meeting was called to order at 5:01pm

4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
a. Approval of September 17, 2021 meeting minutes
MOTION: Member Dettelbach moved, seconded by Member Williams, to Minues were approved as presented.

5. PUBLIC COMMENT
No public comment at this time.
6. NEW BUSINESS
a. 2022 Meeting Calendar
Meeting will remain as a Zoom online meeting until restriction has lifted
▪ Afterin person meeting are allowed again members and chair would like there to be a hybrid option to make the meetings as accessible as possible to all members. This will accommodate the different needs of individuals.
▪ Time: Discussion of moving the time earlier. This will be kept the same until further discussion occurs with the missing committee members.
MOTION: Member Dettelbach moved, seconded by Member Williams, to The 2022 calendar was approved as presented.

b. Veterans Day Update (Chair Dorothy Seaton)
▪ Please let Dorothy know you are there when you arrive. She will need assistance day-of the event.
▪ There has been a lot of community interest.
▪ All logistics have been confirmed with both the concert and ceremony, agenda below.
▪ There will not be a flyover, despite all best efforts.
Guests listed:
∙ Navy will have 40-50 sailors attending events in Santa Fe that week
∙ Governor’s Office – Chief Operating Officer Casados will read proclamation
o Will bring 2 guests (husband and one additional person)
∙ Former Vice Chief of Staff of the United States Army, General John Tilelli might be in attendance
▪ SFCC will provide videographers and photographers to document the day.

8. PRESENTATIONS
a. Veteran Navigation Update (Elizabeth Martin, Santa Fe Veterans Alliance)
The board members received an update from the Veterans Navigator and those she served in October.

Member Dettelbach: Thanks to team and Chair Seaton for organizing 2021 Veterans Day Event. Chair Seaton: veterans day events will be publicized in local publications(Reporter, SFNew Mexican, etc)
