Obituary

Frances S. Gutierrez went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 21, 2022.

She is preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life Willie Gutierrez, Jr.: beloved son Anthony Willie Gutierrez III; parents: Eutimio and Monica Brito; biological parents: Melquerez Sedillo and Manuelita Apodaca; brothers: Pablo Sedillo, Carpio Sedillo; brothers whom she was raised with: Fernandez Montoya, Frank Brito; half-brothers: Henry Maestas, Manuel Sedillo and Johnny Sedillo.

Frances is survived by her daughter Virginia Gutierrez; granddaughters: Jazmyn Gutierrez, Rebecca Gutierrez (Kaici); grandsons: Matthew Garcia, Michael Garcia (Nadia); daughter-in-law Evelyn Gutierrez; great-grandsons: Landon Garcia, Samuel Garcia; sisters: Rita Sedillo, Crestella Ellis (Richard); brothers: Margarito Sedillo (Angie), Benny Sedillo; half-brothers: Tiny Sedillo, Mel Sedillo, Jr., Ramon Sedillo, Leroy Sedillo; sisters-in-law: Julia Sedillo, Rita Hern (Kenneth) Shirley Kelsey (Charles); brother-in-law John Gutierrez (Gloria), also special people in her life: Monica Cordova, Lorraine Martinez, Angie Otero, Mellie Garcia, ToniAnn Duran, and Ralph Gonzales. 

Frances lived her life to the fullest. She loved to sing and dance. She was the best cook who always made sure that all who entered her home left with full bellies. Lifetime and Hallmark movies were her absolute favorite. She never failed to phone her loved ones as often as she could. All of this said, her time with her family was loved most of all. She spent time with her grandchildren watching movies and figure skating and making photo albums and arts and crafts. She loved to share stories about her life. She was the Godmother of seven children whom she loved very much.

Frances' Life Celebration will begin with A Visitation on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 5:00 pm at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St SW, 87102. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.  A Catholic Word Service will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church located at 5415 Fortuna Rd NW, 87102. Frances will be laid to rest following the Service at Mount Calvary Cemetery located at 1900 Edith Blvd NE, 87102.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Garcia, Michael Garcia, Rebecca Gutierrez, Jazmyn Gutierrez, Felipe Cordova, and Juan Nevarez.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Carlos Ramirez, David Gutierrez, Modesto Vialpando, and Rafaelita Ramirez
