Obituary
Carolyn Marcum passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at the age of 77. She died peacefully with her family by her side in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she resided.
Carolyn was born on December 25, 1944, in Hobart, OK to Earl and Annis Stills. She was the third of four children. She moved to Southern California at an early age. Then moved to Colorado and later to Albuquerque, NM where she retired from the University of New Mexico.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her brother, James Earl Stills; and granddaughter, Chloe Marcum. Carolyn is survived by her husband, Daniel; stepson, Darrell; stepdaughter, Belinda (James) Gyr; brother, Rick (Patricia) Stills; sister, LaVonne Babcock; and sister-in-law, Annette Humphrey. She leaves three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
To all who knew her, she was kind, generous and caring. She loved her family dearly and she was much loved. We will always treasure the many memories of good times she gave us.
Visitation will be held at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE in Albuquerque, NM on Friday, January 21, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. with Cryptside Services immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to an animal organization of your choice in her memory as Carolyn loved animals.
