Obituary
Lucy Maria Gonzales, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully at age 90 on Tuesday, December 7, 2021. She was born March 3, 1931, daughter of Eusebio and Dolores Muller. She married Claudio (Clyde) Gonzales, January 12, 1948, in Lamy, NM. Lucy was a dedicated and devoted mother. Her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren were her greatest pride. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Claudio Gonzales; her son, Edward B. Gonzales; her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Sanchez Gonzales; and her sons-in-law, Roger Vallejos and Albert Padilla. She is survived by her children, Claudio Leroy Gonzales and wife, Anita, Diana Vallejos, Terry Suarez, Robert Gonzales, Clyde Gonzales and wife, Lynn, Barbara A. Padilla; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. The Holy Rosary will be recited Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., followed by the Memorial Mass at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd SE, Rio Rancho, NM. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. Honorary Pallbearers include: Adrian Gonzales, Roger Vallejos, Marcus Vallejos, Joseph Gonzales, Christopher Gonzales, Estevan Gonzales, John Paul Gonzales, Damian Herbert, Nathaniel Herbert, and Amado Gonzales.
