Obituary
Age 50, a believer in Jesus Christ and our family's anchor. Our outstanding husband, father, father-in-law, and "Pop".
Joe is survived by his wife, Victoria Lee Gonzales; son, Joseph-Michael Gonzales and wife Perla; daughter, Officer Rachel Gonzales and granddaughter, Hannah Grace Gonzales; parents, brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces.
Joe loved spending time with his family. He loved spending time with Hannah. He was very proud of all of us. He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle and telling jokes. Joe loved to dance. He enjoyed being a coach and umpire. He was proud to be a chaplain with the Albuquerque Police Department. Joe worked hard and was happy, which he said "It's a choice I make everyday."
Joe will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and "Pop." A Servant of God; Leader of his family; Steadfast member of Legacy Church and as a true friend and mentor to many.
