Obituary
Mary P. Sanchez Carmody, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacobo and Rose Sanchez; her former husband, James Carmody III; and her grandson, James Prescott Carmody.
Mary is survived by her brothers, Romeo Sanchez Sr., David Sanchez Sr. and wife, Elizabeth; daughters, Jackie Stewart and husband, Bill and Yvonne Mahnesmith and husband Steve; sons, James Carmody IV and wife, Dawn, and Eric D. Forrest Carmody; her beloved nephews, Romeo Jr, Robert, Ronald, and David Jr.; 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many, many dear lifelong friends.
She was known for her bustling personality, and she loved running La Estrellita Restaurant in the 1970s and 80s. Mary found much joy and fulfillment as a caretaker for many kinds of people over the years after the restaurant closed. She will be remembered for her indomitable personality and will be missed.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 18th, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Westside.
