Obituary of Gualupita Rivera
Our mother, Pita Rivera passed peacefully at home to be with Our Lord on October 17, 2021. She was born on December 31, 1937 in Pena Blanca, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents Santiago and Lucianita Aragon and sisters Deolinda Leyba and Joann Ortiz. Pita is survived by her husband James Rivera Sr., two children, Judy Rivera - Juarez and her husband, Carlos; James Rivera Jr. and his wife Roberta; three grandchildren Jasmin, Santiago and Sevastian; her brother Jimmy Aragon and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Pita was a devoted member of our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pena Blanca. Rosary will be recited for Pita on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pena Blanca with visitation one-hour prior from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM at a later date. The pallbearers will be Robert Ortiz Jr., Jimmy Aragon Jr., Leonard Rivera, Angel Rivera, Steven Romero and Raymond Leyba Jr. Special thanks to Cathy Montoya, Lorry Zaman for their loving care.
