OBITUARY
Stella (Gallegos) Barboa, age 91, a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and a member the Catholic Church passed away peacefully on Sunday September 5, 2021 at home with her children and loved ones by her side. Stella is survived by her children, Veronica Padilla and Roger, Pete Barboa Jr. and wife, Frances, Gloria Muller, Paul Barboa, Debbie Parraz and husband, Charlie, Loretta Barboa, Phyllis Ruiz and husband, Jay, Irene Cordova and husband, Daniel, Yvonne Luna and husband, Thomas, Michelle Nieto and Junior, Mark Barboa, Marie Herrera and husband, Randy, Erica Porter and husband, Tim; siblings, Mr and Mrs. Jose Gallegos, Helen Armijo, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Gallegos; brother in-law, Freddie Sanchez; thirty-six grandkids, forty-five great-grandkids, and five great-great grandkids. Stella was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Barboa; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Juan Gallegos; grandsons, Charles Velasquez and Carlos Barboa; siblings, Mr. and Mrs. Junior Gallegos, Pablo Gallegos, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Nieto, and Virginia Sanchez. Stella was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a devout Catholic, and a proud member of the Legion of Mary, the Alter and Rosary Society and was honored with the Saint Francis of Assisi award. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church 1400 Arenal Rd. SW with a Chaplet recited by Erica Porter and Monica Padillla and the Rosary to be recited by Dominaye Luna and Therese Luna at 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow Mass at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Martin Velasquez, Patrick Barboa, Michael Muller, CJ Parraz, Matthew Luna, Steven Barboa. Honorary Pallbearers will be Paul Barboa Jr., Larry Archuleta, Lorenzo Cordova, Randy Herrera Jr., Paul Nieto Jr.
