Obituary

Joey F. Nogales, 58, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. He passed away in his home, with his wife Vonnica by his side.

He was preceded in death by his father Louis Nogales, Sr. and brother Louis Nogales, Jr.

Joey is survived by his wife of 34 years, Vonnica Nogales; five children: Joseph Nogales, Felicia Nogales, Johnny Louis Nogales, Anthony Nogales, Angelo Nogales; two daughter-in-laws: Denise Nogales, Loren Nogales; four grandchildren: Lisanna Grace Nogales, Noah Louis Nogales, Gabriel Jiraiya Nogales, Abigail Faith Nogales; mother Gloria Nogales; sister Teri Nogales, and brother Fred Nogales. He also leaves behind many cherished family members and friends.

Joey was born April 10, 1963 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1981. He married the love of his life, Vonnica, on July 11, 1987. They had five children together.

Joey was a beloved husband and a devoted father. Although he was only a grandfather for a short time, he was a natural and was adored by his grandchildren. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. He coached many of his sons’ athletic teams over the years. He loved to hunt, fish, play sports.

Joey was a kind and generous man with a big heart. He was very loyal and was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was hospitable and knew how to make people feel loved. He could relate to people from all walks of life and chose to see the good in others. He was looked up to and viewed as a father figure by many. Often the life of the party, he knew how to make people laugh, his humor will be missed.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Nogales, Johnny Nogales, Anthony Nogales, Angelo Nogales, Michael Yannoni, and Nicholas Liang.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Mora, Mark Mora, Vincent Mora, John Paul Mora, David Sanchez, Chris Burrell, Paul Yannoni, Sr., Paul Yannoni, Jr., Ronald Liang,  and Bryant Scott.
