OBITUARY
On July 30, 2021, the Lord called upon Michael Anthony Montero, beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and great friend. Michael was born in Oakland, CA on August 15, 1990 and New Mexico has been home since 1999. He earned two Certificates and an Associate’s degree from CNM, all in the automotive and transportation technology fields, while working at Mister Car Wash as a customer service advisor. He was ambitious and wanted to get into car sales. Michael found his way back to Mister Car Wash and recently got the opportunity to move into management. Michael was very outgoing, always smiling, always happy, had a great sense of humor, loved people and loved life! Preceding him in death is his mother, Katherine Vigil-Montero from Dixon, NM and his father, Evaristo “Eddie” Montero of Florida. Surviving relatives are his Tio Mike Vigil, older brother Jonathan Edward Montero and his girlfriend, Yvette Martinez, first cousins Leticia and Joaquin Mendoza and their daughters, Maricella and Kamila, and Delicia and Jeremy Leyba, their daughter Aaliyah and son, Lionelo, and numerous great aunts and uncles, cousins, and many friends. His death was untimely, unexpected and he was too young to leave us so soon. He will be deeply missed by us all!
