ALBIN D. VIGIL, March 14, 1923-July 21, 2021

Albin D. Vigil, a true servant of God, entered the gates of Heaven on July 21, 2021 to be greeted by family, friends and loved ones. Albin was born in Ojo Feliz, NM to Thomas and Fedelina Vigil. He earned his Auto Mechanics Certification from Highlands University and served in the U.S. Army. Albin married the love of his life, Ida Martinez and they resided in Rainsville, NM where Albin raised cattle and competed in calf- roping at rodeos. Later in life, they lived in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. He was always passionate about his ranch, his cattle and his horses. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and traveling. He is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Ida, his four brothers; Johnny, Rubel, Gilbert, and Filemon. He is survived by his sisters-in-law, Cleo & Joan Velasquez and brother-in-law, Damian Velasquez as well as many nieces and nephews. A special thank-you to the thoughtful staff at MorningStar Senior Living in Santa Fe. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 on August 18, 2021 at Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Church. Interment will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on August 18, 2021 at 1:30pm. Berardinelli Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
