Smith, Verna Francis
Verna Francis Smith was born April 11, 1955 to her parents Jack (JC) Smith and Maeola Hightower Smith. Verna received her formal education in Roswell school district where she lived for several years and worked as a care-giver and companion. In the year of 1972, Verna was blessed with a beautiful baby girl she named Nyree. A few years later Verna met Curtis with that union she gave birth to two sons, Tony and Michael. Verna moved to Los Angeles, CA. There she met Albert Rhymes, as she would say the love of my life; she loved (bug Al) until the lord called him home. Verna then moved home to be close to her family and friends. Verna loved life, she never met a stranger and she loved people. Her infections presence will alwayas be a part of our heart and memories.
Verna is preceded in death by parents, Jack and Maeola Smith; brothers, Kenneth, Mike and Marvin; and sisters, Margrett and Jo Ann Smith.
She leaves to cherish many precious memories: daughter, Nyree; sons, Tony and Mike; step children, Albert Jr., Rhymes, Alicia, and Ene; grand-daughters, Zguana, Deja, Mikaela and Mataya; great granddaughters, Mila who call Verna my (cuppie cake) also Kiara and Malissa; brothers, Cheo Bahiti of Atlanta, GA, Johnny Smith of Albuquerque, NM and Earl Smith of Phoenix, AZ; sisters, Beatrice Warren of Ola Kerns, Erma Smith and Marva Washington of Albuquerque, NM and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
