Obituary

Rachel Carmen Almaraz, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, our beloved Mother and Grandmother, entered into eternal life on the Feast Day of St.’s Joachim and Anne, parents of the Virgin Mary, July 26, 2021.

She was a member of Sangre De Christo Catholic Church in Albuquerque, NM.

Rachel is preceded in death by her parents, Alejandro and Jesusita Maes, brothers and sisters, Carlos Maes, Nickolas Maes, Arturo Maes, Natividad Maes, Telesfora Vigil, Frances Torres, Romelia Garcia, Leandro Maes, and daughter-in-law Debra Almaraz.

She is survived by her children, Laura and Todd Lee, Eric Almaraz, Greg Almaraz, Rob Almaraz, and grandchildren, Trishae and Mark Furmanek, Denae Almaraz, and Kyle Almaraz.

Services will take place on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at French Funeral Chapel beginning with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. 

A Rosary and Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Sangre De Cristo Catholic Church in Albuquerque, with Interment following at 1:30 PM at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
