She was a true disciple of God with her undying faith and love. She spent many hours praying for anyone that asked for prayer. She taught us how to love unconditionally and with all our heart! Her generosity was unending and her faith in God never faltered. Her life was spent giving generously to anyone that was in need whether it was food, money, compassion, love or prayers.
Phyllis loved her family with all her heart and loved everyone as if they were family. She helped us raise our children by taking them delivering, making spam and eggs for breakfast, and macaroni’s for dinner. We played many games of checkers and goldfish in her living room, gardening with her, or just sitting with her in the back yard by the pond and Blessed Virgin Mary statue. She took us on many rides to the mountains just to breath fresh air and we sang the entire way. Just last month she wanted to go for a ride and decided to drive her car and take her neighbor with her. She drove around the block and of course she drove to her beloved church, Our Lady of Guadalupe. She said she just had to get out.
Every Thanksgiving and Christmas we all gathered at her house and we had to wait for everyone to get there before we would pray together in a circle and say what we we’re thankful for as well as kiss baby Jesus and say who or what we would like to pray for. Phyllis never missed anyone’s birthday, she called us all to sing happy birthday and sent us birthday cards.
Her smile would light up a room. Phyllis was a blessing to us all and will truly be missed.
