Anthony Lee Olguin
April 13, 1958 - July 11, 2021
Anthony Lee Olguin age 63, devout husband, father, and grandfather began his eternal life on Sunday July 11, 2021. Born to Gillie and Theresa Olguin in Albuquerque, NM on April 13, 1958. Anthony was the oldest of five children. He is preceded in death by his father, Gillie Olguin; mother, Theresa Zamora Olguin; grandfather, Juan Olguin; grandmother, Adela Baldanado Olguin; grandfather, Leandro Zamora; grandmother, Josefita Castillo Zamora.
Anthony is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Bertha, their three children and seven grandchildren, Amador (Tillie) and grandchildren Anthony, Christian, Desiree, Josh, and Jude; Gabriel (Victoria) and grandchildren Diego and Aribella; and loving daughter, Margo. He is also survived by siblings Jospeh (Stephanie), David (Elvie), Anna (Carlos Apodaca) Evelyn (David Brannen) and his many nieces and nephews.
Anthony was a hard working, proud man. A man of family and faith and lived his life to the absolute fullest. He was kind to his neighbors and helped anyone in need. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1976 - 1980. He retired after 33 years from Universal Constructors. Anthony was a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus, serving as a 4th Degree Knight and active member of St. Therese Catholic Church.
After a tough battle with cancer this world will be a little less bright without Anthony in it. Anthony will live on through the many memories he made and all the lives he touched.
Services will be held at St. Therese Catholic Church in Albuquerque on Friday July 23, 2021. Services will begin with a viewing at 9:00am, Rosary at 9:30am, and Funeral Mass at 10:00am. A reception will be held at St. Therese Parish Hall following the mass. Anthony will be laid to rest at a later date at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandson Anthony Olguin, brothers Joe and David Olguin, and friends Larry Garcia, Bernie Ortiz, and Matt Dobbins.
