Obituary of Elizabeth "Betty" Wright
The Lord whispered to be Betty to come home on June 21, 2021. Born in Hutchinson, KS to Marion and Clara Shepherd who welcomed her in his kingdom. Rejoicing also in Betty’s homecoming, husband Everett Wright, Brothers Marion, John and Joe Shepherd and numerous family members and friends.
Betty enjoyed teaching for Los Alamos public schools retiring in 1992.
Betty also worked for The Santa Fe New Mexican, Home Instead and owned Wright's Janitorial with her husband Everett who the Lord called home October 29,1995.
Betty is survived by daughters Kelley Prieskorn (Lonnie) of Edgewood, NM with whom Betty resided. Marian Chavez (Kenny). Grandkids Cherrie Martinez (Jimmy) Seth Prieskorn (Shae) Clay Prieskorn, Ashley Readmond (Christian) and Michael Camp-Chavez. Great grandkids Diamond Camp-Chavez, Marguerite Camp, Jedidiah Prieskorn, Luke Prieskorn, Logan Brown-Martinez, Gus Martinez and Ruth Readmond. Betty is also survived by brother William Shepherd (Annetta)numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
Betty will be laid to rest in private, in the Santa Fe National Cemetery and Sylvia, KS.
A Memorial Service will be held August 6, 2021, 9:30 am. At Zia United Methodist Church, 3368 Governor Miles Road, Santa Fe, NM 87507.
