Obituary
Stella Lea Bearce went home to Jesus on June 13, 2021 at age 92.
Stella was born to Claude and Docia Wilson on March 11, 1929 in Spruce, Missouri. As a young woman she taught at country schools in both Springfield, Missouri and Appleton, City, Missouri. Stella met her husband LeRoy Bearce in Appleton City, Missouri at First Baptist Church. They married on December 18, 1948 and went on to have three children, Shirley, Sandra (Sandra), and Charles (Chuck).
They moved to Bolivar, Missouri while LeRoy got his college degree. Their family moved a lot because LeRoy was in the Army. They finally settled in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Stella worked at and retired from Las Vegas Behavior Health in the Personnel Department. In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Stella also loved reading and staying active at Las Vegas First Baptist Church.
Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those surrounding her. Stella joins her parents Claude and Docia and brothers, Clifford and Leslie Wilson in Heaven. She is survived by her husband, LeRoy; her children, Shirley, Sandra and Charles; her many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
She was a longtime member of Del Norte Baptist Church. Funeral services will take place Wednesday July 7, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. with burial at Santa Fe National Cemetery to follow.
