Obituary
Kathryn French, beloved wife, and mother, passed away on June 2, 2021, at the age of 87. Kathryn was a long-time resident of Albuquerque, NM, formerly of Roswell, NM.
Kathryn is survived by son, Gregory P. French (Ruth) of Sun City West, AZ; daughters, Sherry Cummins (Patrick) of San Antonio, TX, and Patricia Nail (George) of Albuquerque; daughter-in-law, Clarisa Feldman of New York, NY; grandchildren, Benjamin French, Joshua French, Daniel French, Allison Cummins, Brian Cummins, Ryan Nail, Elizabeth Nail, Janet Kaufman, Samuel Kaufman; and 6 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby French; son, David French; her parents James A. McArthur and Nettie L. McArthur; her brothers Douglas McArthur and James L. McArthur; sisters Frieda Sims and Fay Brown, and other friends and family.
A young bride, Kathryn and her husband Bobby enjoyed 68 wonderful years together. After many years as a full-time homemaker, she became a hardware salesperson at Sears, finishing her career as an assistant manager of the store in Roswell, NM. Upon retirement she and her husband traveled extensively and spent time with their many children and grandchildren.
Kathryn was interested in history and loved to read. In college she became interested in anthropology and archeology, and her children fondly remember the many trips to Indian ruins and cultural sites in the Southwest region of the US, as well as travel to many of the US National Parks.
