Joel Clarence Lessard

Biography

Joel C. Lessard, 75, resident of Santa Fe, NM passed away on May 22, 2021. He was born in Bemidji, MN on December 30, 1945 to Lucie Marie Haberman and Clarence Martin Lessard. He married Sue Carter Lessard on July 14, 1984 in Duluth, MN.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Lucie Haberman Lessard and Clarence Lessard.

He is survived by his son; Alexandre Schenk Lessard, stepdaughter; Kim Martin, stepson; Michael Schenk, brother; Ronald Lessard, sisters; Margaret Lessard and Karen McDermott.

Joel was a Sergeant in the Airforce from 1965-1971 and worked at AT&T. He retired from US West and was an avid birdwatcher, hunter, woodsman and loved the outdoors.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.

Interment will take place on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 12:45 p.m. at The Santa Fe National Cemetery for both Joel Lessard and Sue C. Lessard.
