The New Mexico Consortium (NMC) will co-sponsor the 15th Ablation Workshop, which is set to take place from November 18 to 20, 2025, at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. The event will be held at the Corbett Center Student Union.

The workshop serves as a meeting point for scientists and engineers specializing in aerothermodynamic ablation. Attendees typically include representatives from government agencies, private industry, and academic institutions worldwide. More than 150 participants are expected each year.

According to organizers, the main goals of the workshop are "to foster improved communication across national boundaries; to expose the aerothermodynamic ablation modeling community to new ideas and techniques from related disciplines; to bring new experimental methodologies to bear on challenging problems; and to discuss the difficulties of adapting existing techniques to new applications."

Those interested in presenting research must submit abstracts by October 17, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET. Organizers encourage prospective contributors to review registration and submission guidelines on the official website.

The program will feature technical presentations, panel discussions, poster sessions, and opportunities for networking. The workshop aims to promote integration of methods in modeling, experimentation, and simulation for high-temperature engineering applications.

Researchers, engineers, students, and other stakeholders are invited to participate in this international forum focused on advancing ablation science and technology.

Further information about registration, abstract submission deadlines, and program updates can be found on the official workshop site at https://ablation.engr.uky.edu/.
