Shani Harvie, Creative Industries Director | New Mexico Economic Development Department
Organizations in New Mexico that support creative industries can now apply for grant funding of up to $62,500. The initiative is part of the Creative Support Organization Grant program offered by the New Mexico Economic Development Department’s Creative Industries Division (CID). The grants are intended to strengthen the state’s creative economy by assisting organizations that provide technical help, business incubation, workforce development, and other forms of support for creative industry growth.
Eligible applicants include Nations, Tribes, Pueblos, nonprofits, and for-profit entities with at least three years of experience working with creative companies or individuals. The program is designed for groups serving as foundational supports in their communities.
“Creative industries are a vital part of New Mexico’s economy and cultural identity,” said Shani Harvie, director of the Creative Industries Division. “This grant program invests in organizations that have been providing the structure, support, and innovation needed to ensure our creative economy thrives statewide.”
To inform interested parties about the grant requirements and eligibility criteria, CID will host a webinar on Friday, October 3 at 10 a.m. Mountain Time. A recording will later be made available on the Economic Development Department’s YouTube channel.
Applications for this grant opportunity are open until October 24, 2025, at 6 p.m. Mountain Time.
