Two members of the Zuni Pueblo, Kamron Kallestewa, 25, and Kaden Panteah, 20, have each been sentenced to 33 months in federal prison for an armed assault that took place on April 8, 2023. The incident involved four victims at a residence on the Zuni Pueblo.
Court documents indicate that Kallestewa struck two victims in the head and face with a firearm and pointed his weapon at two others. Panteah fired his weapon toward the victims during the same incident.
After completing their prison terms, Kallestewa will serve two years of supervised release while Panteah will serve three years of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.

The investigation was conducted by the Gallup Resident Agency of the FBI Albuquerque Field Office with assistance from the Zuni Police Department. Assistant United States Attorney Jesse Pecoraro is prosecuting the case.
