Gabe Vasquez, U.S. Congressman representing New Mexico’s 2nd district, highlighted his ongoing campaign efforts and community engagement across the state in a series of posts on September 20, 2025.
In a morning post from Albuquerque, Vasquez wrote, " Albuquerque: Buenos días from the West Side! This campaign is about bringing people together and fighting to protect our values and our way of life here in #NM02! Thank you to everyone who came to be a part of this launch!" (September 20, 2025).
Later that day in Los Lunas, he emphasized the importance of local businesses: "Los Lunas: Restaurants like Teofilos in Los Lunas are cornerstones of our community. We should be doing everything possible to support Valencia County. I’m fighting for OUR communities in Congress." (September 20, 2025).
Vasquez also posted about Truth or Consequences (T or C), noting its significance in southern New Mexico: "T or C is a gem in Southern NM. I’ve spent so much time here, from fishing at the Butte to dipping my toes in the hot springs. We all deserve the same quality of life across #NM02. I am proud of the work we’ve done to support access to clean water and public safety here." (September 20, 2025).
Vasquez has served as the representative for New Mexico’s 2nd congressional district since replacing Yvette Herrell in 2023. He won his seat by defeating Herrell in the 2024 general election with 52.1% of the vote.
