The Albuquerque International Sunport has introduced The Holding Pattern, a newly redesigned cell phone waiting lot aimed at improving the experience for those picking up arriving passengers. The facility features enhanced amenities, including big-screen displays with flight information and two new restrooms, as part of the airport’s broader modernization efforts. This project is one element of the ongoing Dream of Flight terminal renovation and supports the City of Albuquerque’s goal to improve public infrastructure.
“The Sunport’s new waiting lot is another step toward enhancing our world-class airport that reflects the pride, hospitality, and forward-looking spirit of Albuquerque,” said Mayor Tim Keller. “This new facility also includes two brand-new bathrooms—part of our citywide effort to expand access to clean, modern restrooms in neighborhoods, parks, and now here at the Sunport.”
The updated location aims to make waiting more convenient for drivers and families by providing comfortable amenities in addition to real-time flight updates.
