The State Personnel Office Learning and Development Bureau has announced that the Essentials of Supervision and Management (ESM) program has reached 1,000 graduates as of August 2025. Participants in the leadership development program come from about 53 state agencies and include judicial branch employees statewide.
The ESM program, which began over three years ago, continues to receive positive feedback. Participants report high levels of satisfaction with the quality, relevance, and benefits of the program. It is available to current or aspiring supervisors and managers.
Many participants have expressed gratitude for the program's role in their career advancement into higher-level positions. Graduates who are now supervisors often note that their learning has significantly enhanced their ability and confidence in performing their duties.
The State Personnel Office congratulates all graduates and thanks the agencies that have supported employee development through this program. Each graduate has shown a commitment to excellence in leading New Mexico's state government and advancing their careers.
