Bernalillo County DA Sam Bregman announces convictions in murder and cold case sexual assault

Bernalillo County District Attorney Sam Bregman announced on his official Twitter account a series of recent convictions and updates related to cases in the Albuquerque area.

On July 31, 2025, Bregman reported the outcome of a high-profile murder case: "Joseph Gonzales Convicted of Second-Degree Murder in South Valley Shooting Joseph Gonzales has been convicted of second-degree murder in the 2022 shooting death of Abner Antillon in Albuquerque’s South Valley.
