The Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with Central New Mexico Community College, Albuquerque Regional Economic Alliance, and New Mexico Independent Community Colleges, will host a reception honoring the Legislative Finance Committee (LFC). The event is scheduled for July 23 at CNM’s Robert P. Matteucci Building.

The reception will take place from 5-7 p.m., immediately following the LFC meeting. The committee consists of 16 members and is chaired by Rep. Nathan P. Small, with Sen. George K. Muñoz serving as vice chair.

"The mission of the Legislative Finance Committee is to provide the Legislature with objective fiscal and public policy analyses, recommendations and oversight of state agencies to improve performance and ensure accountability through the effective allocation of resources for the benefit of all New Mexicans."

The Chamber emphasizes its close relationship with the LFC due to its influence on funding decisions affecting the business community. "Face-to-face interactions allow our members to build relationships with the members of the committee."

Attendees can expect heavy hors d’oeuvres, beverages, and opportunities to engage with students and employers benefiting from NM GRO workforce training funds.
