New Mexico Department of Agriculture schedules public hearings for rule amendments

The New Mexico Department of Agriculture (NMDA) has scheduled public hearings to discuss proposed amendments to several rules. These hearings will take place on Tuesday, July 29, and Thursday, July 31.

The agenda for the hearings includes discussions on Egg Inspection Fees at 9 a.m., Seed Standards and Classifications at 10 a.m., and the Pesticides Rule at 11 a.m. Each session is open to the public and can be attended in person or virtually.

In-person sessions will be held at two locations: Gerald Thomas Hall Auditorium (Room 194) at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces on July 29, and CNM Workforce Training Center in Albuquerque on July 31. Visitors to NMSU can obtain a free one-day parking permit.

During these hearings, oral comments will be accepted. Written comments are also welcome until 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 31. Comments can be emailed or mailed to the NMDA Office of the Director in Las Cruces. Only comments with signatures that meet legal standards will be considered.
