Four NM State athletes earn CSC Academic All-District honors

Following the conclusion of the track season, four athletes from New Mexico State University have been recognized by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) for their academic achievements. Seniors Sierra Brewer, Rebecca Green, and Rachel O'Brien, along with junior Alesha Lane, have been named to the CSC Academic All-District teams for the first time.

Sierra Brewer recently graduated with a degree in Biology and maintained a 3.81 GPA. She achieved the third-fastest 100-meter dash time in program history and contributed to the Aggies' Third Team All-CUSA honors in the 4x100m relay.

Rebecca Green is pursuing her master's degree in communication disorders at graduate school in Las Cruces. At the 2025 CUSA Indoor Championships, she won a gold medal and set a facility record with a mark of 16.57 meters.

Rachel O'Brien completed her only season with NM State while working towards her master's degree in public health. The Heyfield, Australia native qualified for the NCAA West First Round and holds the school record in the 1500m event.

Alesha Lane had a standout season, setting a school record in discus and earning three bronze medals at CUSA competitions. She also made her debut at the NCAA West First Round.
