Governor appoints Anastasia Martin to First Judicial District Court

Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham has appointed Anastasia Martin to the First Judicial District Court. This decision fills the vacancy left by the Honorable Mary Marlowe Sommer, who retired on May 31.

Anastasia Martin currently holds the position of General Counsel at the New Mexico Aging and Long-Term Services Department. Her prior experience includes serving as Chief Deputy District Attorney in Rio Arriba County within the First Judicial District Attorney’s Office for nearly ten years. Martin is a 2011 graduate of the California Western School of Law.

Her new role on the court will commence on June 28.
