New Mexico hosts 2025 Literacy and Humanities Summer Convening

The New Mexico Public Education Department recently hosted the 2025 Literacy and Humanities Summer Convening, titled "Empower Education—I, We, You," which brought together educators from across the state. The event featured remarks from Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, Public Education Secretary Mariana Padilla, and Senate Pro Tempore Mimi Stewart. Each speaker highlighted their commitment to education, structured literacy, and the science of reading.
