New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Secretary Stephanie Schardin Clarke has been elected as the secretary of the Federation of Tax Administrators (FTA) Board of Trustees for the 2025 to 2026 term. The FTA is an organization that promotes coordination among governments in tax administration, offers information, training, and resources to tax administrators, and advocates for state tax interests at the federal level.
"The FTA is an essential tool for the improvement of state tax administration, allowing states to share innovations and coordinate communications with the federal government," said Secretary Stephanie Schardin Clarke. "It is an honor to be elected to serve as the Secretary of the Board of Trustees."
Schardin Clarke has been a member of the FTA Board of Trustees since 2021. She also holds positions as the current president of the Western States Association of Tax Administrators and chair of the Multistate Tax Commission.
